Grågripen 4 | A Nordic LARP Event | 16-19th of July 2026 | Blekinge, Sweden

The World

Deep in the unmarked wilderness between the mountain kingdoms lies the village of Skilje, a place that appears on no map and is signposted by no road. The forest surrounding it is ancient, dense, and unforgiving. Monsters are common. Disappearances are not unheard of. And somewhere beyond the treeline, hidden behind blindfolded paths and sealed doors, stands Gripborgen, the fortress of the Griffin School of Monster Hunting.

The Griffin School is known for its hunters: elite, mutated, and utterly secretive in their methods. The results of their work are impressive. The cost of their failures is rarely spoken of.

The village is preparing to celebrate its founding. There will be feasting, music, and firelight. But something old is stirring in the catacombs beneath the school and the forest has begun watching in a way it hasn’t for years.

The Game

Grågripen 4 is a two-and-a-half-day live action roleplay event designed in the Nordic LARP tradition, emphasising 360 immersive experience, player agency, and collaborative storytelling. The world draws inspiration from The Witcher and Dragon Age, with a grimdark tone and morally complex themes, mixed with classic sword-and-sandal fantasy antics.

Venue & Accommodation

The site is a fully built medieval village of around 15 buildings set in the middle of the forest, surrounded by nature, spruce and pine create a fairytale forest atmosphere that needs no decoration. The area features rocky terrain with caves, marshland, and two lakes. Within the village itself, you’ll find a tavern, a smithy, a church, and a well. All are available in the game. The tavern is the beating heart of Skilje and the social centre of the event.

Accommodation is in the village’s wooden cottages, rustic and uninsulated, but full of character. Food and accommodation are included in the ticket price. Bedding is not provided. A well-insulated sleeping bag rated for low temperatures is recommended.

In the spirit of full immersion, modern comforts are kept to a minimum. Running water is not available, but the village well provides fresh spring water, outhouses are on site, and two lakes are on hand for anyone brave enough to take a dip. This is forest living. Come prepared, and it becomes part of the experience.
